Succeed in Competitive College Admissions Year
The college list of the class
of 2008 is as diverse as the class itself: 110 students will
attend 70 colleges and one prep school in 21 states and the
District of Columbia.
College Counseling Director
Dan Evans said the class had a "tremendous year, especially
when considering the intensely competitive admissions landscape
that the students had to deal with." Evans explained that
most colleges reported record-high applicant pools and record-low
admit rates.
Evans said that what he and
his colleagues are most proud of the fact that 94 percent
of the seniors identified that they were enrolling at one
of their top-choice colleges. "The Class of 2008 was
extremely talented and the admission outcomes serve as evidence
that the students put together compelling applications and
gave this process the time and energy that it requires."
