SEEING THE DIFFERENCE
Chuck and Stephanie Cahn,
Penn Charter Parents
For all three of my children to be able to look back on their
lives and have Penn Charter be part of their personal history
is a gift. Both my husband and I grew up with a public school
education, and as much as we feel lucky to have had what we
had, we see the difference at Penn Charter.
We looked at several schools, but when we went to Penn
Charter we felt at home. Yes, the school is beautiful and just
stepping onto campus you feel that it is a part of history.
That’s special in and of itself. But that’s not why we chose it.
It was the commitment of the people we spoke to and the
passion for a great education that came across so strongly.
We knew immediately that that’s what we wanted for our kids.
So, it’s a gift we’re giving to our children, the youngest of
whom will start at Penn Charter next year. We want to ensure
that other people have this same opportunity. I feel grateful
to be part of an institution that thrives on the process of
learning and has for hundreds of years. We have to ensure that
Penn Charter’s values and history continue in the future, and
we have an obligation to perpetuate the quality of education
that’s available. We feel privileged to keep this amazing
legacy alive.

Chuck Cahn is president and CEO of Stewart Industries. Stephanie
is an interior designer and a school reading specialist. Their gift to
faculty endowment will help Penn Charter continue to retain and
hire excellent teachers.
