Directions to Germantown Academy
Germantown Academy is on Morris Road in Fort Washington, .2 miles north of the intersection of Morris Road and Bethlehem Pike and 1.1 miles south of the intersection of Morris Road and Butler Pike. The main entrance of the school is the first driveway when coming north from Bethlehem Pike and the second driveway after crossing the narrow bridge when coming south from Butler Pike.
Public Transportation:
Ft. Washington Train Station (Septa Rail R5) and Septa Bus Route #94 to Morris Road are just a few tenths of a mile walk.
Coming North from Chestnut Hill:
From intersection of Germantown Avenue and Bethlehem Pike, follow Bethlehem Pike 4.2 miles and bear left onto Morris Road (just after ball field, Northwestern Institute and small church on left.) GA is .2 miles on left.
Coming from Center City Philadelphia on Schuylkill Expressway:
Follow signs for 76 West on Schuylkill Expressway to 476 North (the Blue Route.) Take 476 North to exit #20. Beware: there two lanes exiting - stay in left lane. DO NOT TAKE GERMANTOWN PIKE. Take Plymouth Road exit and turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Plymouth Road. At first traffic light, turn left onto Butler Pike. Follow Butler Pike for approximately 3.25 miles to traffic light at Morris Road. Take right on Morris Road and follow it less than 1 mile past playing fields, tennis courts and over small bridge. Main driveway is second right after crossing bridge.
Coming from the Main Line:
Take 476 North (the Blue Route) to exit #20 and follow directions from Center City (above.)
Coming from PA Turnpike:
Get off Turnpike at Exit #26. Continue straight after tollgate on
Pennsylvania Avenue. At 3rd traffic light, turn left onto Bethlehem Pike. Cross over Ft. Washington train station bridge and make immediate right in front of Rich's Deli and next immediate right onto Morris Road. GA will be on your left.
Coming from Rt. 309:
Get off Rt. 309 at Ft. Washington exit and follow directions from PA Turnpike (above.)
Coming South from Ambler:
Follow Bethlehem Pike south 1.7 miles from the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Butler Avenue. Just after 2nd traffic light, cross over Ft. Washington train station bridge and make immediate right in front of Rich's Deli and next immediate right onto Morris Road. GA will be on your left.
Coming South on Rt. 73 (Skippack Pike):
From Skippack Pike, take left at traffic light onto Butler Pike (Broad Axe Tavern on right at light.) At next traffic light, take a right onto Morris Road and follow it less than 1 mile past playing fields, tennis courts and over small bridge. Main driveway is second right after crossing bridge.
