Daniel F. Evans, Director of College Counseling
Dan began his admissions career in 1990 and has extensive experience working on the east and west coasts at small liberal arts colleges and a large research university. He has been a senior admissions officer at Elizabethtown College, Lafayette College, the University of Puget Sound (where he served as Director), and most recently, the University of Pennsylvania. He has presented at numerous regional and national conferences on such topics as managing parent expectations, professional development issues facing new admissions officers, and the challenges of establishing a full-time regional recruitment office. Dan has served as a faculty member of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth College Colloquium and the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC) Summer Institute. Currently, he is a member of the PACAC Executive Committee. He has also been featured in books and magazine articles discussing the college application process. Daniel serves as a member of the Senior Administrative Team at Penn Charter and he is a proud Penn Charter parent (P '15, P '20). He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond.

Erin P. Hughes, Assistant Director of College Counseling
Erin graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1990 and joined the Penn Charter faculty as an English teacher in 1991. While teaching, Erin completed an M.A. in Literature from Middlebury College and an M.S. in Education from St. Joseph's University. Erin began working in the College Counseling Office in 1997 and until recently still taught one section of junior English. In 2008, Erin completed her Ph.D. in Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests are social class and college choice, and for her doctoral research, Erin studied 10 Penn Charter families as they negotiated the college search process. Erin is in her 18th year at Penn Charter and is a proud Penn Charter parent (P '21).

Diona Nicolucci, Coordinator of College Counseling
After graduating from Penn State University in 1991, Diona spent nine years as the Executive Director of a placement and recruiting firm. Diona joined Penn Charter's College Counseling team in 2001 and since then has been instrumental in bringing the latest technology and resources to the office. Committed to professional development, Diona is a member of several local and national college counseling organizations and regularly participates in professional conferences. She is also a proud Penn Charter parent (P '18).
