Offers Advice, Tips on Financing a College Education
College counselors from Penn
Charter and six other area independent schools will host a
workshop on college financial aid and scholarships at Penn
Charter on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Penn Charter. All interested
Upper School families and students are invited to attend.
The program, which begins at
7 p.m. in the Meeting Room, will feature George Walter, associate
dean of enrollment management for University Admission and
Financial Assistance at Villanova University. Walter has been
a financial aid professional for more than 25 years and previously
served as director of financial aid at La Salle University
and as assistant director of financial aid at St. Joseph's
University. He will discuss the nuts and bolts of applying
for financial aid, providing both insights and helpful tips.
Penn Charter is coordinating
on the event with Abington Friends School, Chestnut Hill Academy,
Friends Select School, Germantown Academy, Germantown Friends
School and Springside School.
