At the Kindergarten level, students are introduced to art mediums and experiences. Their art is about exploring and collaborating. In First through Fifth Grades, our hands on, project-based curriculum challenges students to draw upon their learning, dream up new solutions, work with fellow students, and reflect upon their own learning experiences. Materials and ideas are introduced while visual messages are analyzed. As students grow through these years, they develop fine motor and thinking skills. They are required to draw more and more upon their own experiences and make informed, independent decisions. Students become confident about sharing their unique thoughts and about communicating through visual media.
