All-School Art Show Open through April 13
The All-School Art Show opened on Friday, April 7, with a wide selection of art created by pre-K to 12 students that showcased their skill, creativity and imagination.
Located in the sunlit, palladian-windowed wrestling room, the two- and three-dimensional works include paintings, clay sculptures, ceramics, mixed media, finger paintings, wood carvings, drawings, photographs, clay tiles, mono prints and papier-mâché masks. At the opening reception, as parents, students and teachers toured the show, sharing conversation and refreshments, a handful of Upper School students, and a couple of teachers, provided live music.
Lower School art teachers Karen Riedlmeier and Michelle Dowd invited Lower School teachers to bring their classes during the week. The show includes a piece of art created by every Lower School student.
Other students and parents are encouraged to visit when their schedules allow.
The exhibition will be on view Monday through Wednesday, April 10-12, until 4 p.m., and Thursday, April 13, until 3 p.m. The wrestling room is located in the main building, behind the Old Gym. See photos of the opening.
