It's a Wrap!
With our second annual Great Day to Be a Quaker wrapped up, Head of School Darryl J. Ford wrote to the Penn Charter community, near and far, to say thanks.
You shared in the fun on social media, emailed memories of wonderful faculty, and made a gift on Great Day to Be a Quaker. The power of our community, working as one, is exceptional and made for an extraordinary day for our school.
Engagement: We were energized by memories, photos and tweets you submitted. Thank you! We saw a spike in our social media activity and blog as you checked back in throughout the day.
Gifts: Your generosity meant we met every challenge set before us, including the $100,000 dollar-for-dollar morning match, the $10,000 Alumni Society match to encourage faculty and staff giving, and the $20,000 Blue-Yellow Midnight Challenge. We raised more than $318,000 in support of our students and teachers!
Donors: More than 430 donors contributed to Penn Charter on Great Day. The Blue-Yellow Challenge was exciting and very close all day. Congratulations to Blue – you eeked out a win over Yellow by just 20 donors.
Thank you for your support of our school!
