Two Penn Charter basketball stars competed Sunday in the girls All-Star Labor Classic a shade up School House Lane at Philadelphia University.

Mireyah "Rey" Davis notched three regular field goals and went 3-for-4 at the line for nine points. Fellow senior Lexi Hnatkowsky drained two treys for six points

The crew team, meanwhile, competed in the fourth Manny Flick event.

The top outing belonged to the JV 2X team of junior Anna Pogrebivsky and soph Zoe Tierno. The girls' time of 5:59.34 was good enough for first in the heat and second overall.

In the varsity 4X race, senior Kelsey White, soph Lucy Alter, soph Sydney Nixon and junior Maria Perry clocked 5:32.85 for fifth overall.

Senior Steve Flemming took third in his heat of the varsity 1X at 5:54.95.

Due to high river height and fast current on the Schuylkill, some girls events were scrapped.

Go Charter!

The spirit of Penn Charter athletics is built on a storied tradition of excellence and the belief that the interplay of academics, arts and athletics leads to strong, creative, resilient and flexible people.

Skilled teachers and coaches help our students understand – whether on the playing field or in the classroom – how to collaborate and compete, how to win with grace, and how to handle challenges and setbacks.

Our school cheer is: Go Charter!

We appreciate the student athletes who are now powering PC to great feats, and look forward to welcoming those who will do so in the future. Also, of course, we eternally appreciate the efforts of all OPCs!
