Some sports results are hard to explain.

Back on April 6, in a home game, Penn Charter's boys lacrosse squad was sliced and diced by Episcopal Academy, 14-5.

Friday, the teams met again in Newtown Square and . . . PC triumphed, 6-3!

Weekly Roundup: Apr. 17-23

PC athletes performed very well this week, and the most notable contest involved boys lacrosse, which broke a 14-year streak and defeated Haverford School. Go Charter!

With numerous MLB scouts brandishing radar guns again in attendance, senior righthander Joey Lancellotti turned in another dazzling performance Friday as Penn Charter's baseball team hosted Malvern Prep, likewise an Inter-Ac goody.

'Twas a Wonderful Wednesday for Sports

Penn Charter's varsity teams followed Terrific Tuesday with Wonderful Wednesday.

Girls track hosted Baldwin and SCH Academy for a triangular meet and bested both – by 89-29 and 70-56, respectively – while the boys made the trek to SCH and rolled to an 89-32 triumph…

Wins and Milestones on Terrific Tuesday

The year was 2003 and some of Penn Charter's current boys lacrosse players were still in diapers.

Five Wednesday Contests

With the exception of crew, Wednesday offered a full-boat schedule in terms of varsity sports activity.

Softball Wins Scoring Fest

Runs were not exactly in short supply Monday as Penn Charter's softball squad hosted Lansdale Catholic.

In fact, the teams scored in pretty much every half-inning during the Quakers' 16-11 victory.

Wins for Track and Tennis

Ya gotta love collecting two team wins in one girls track meet. That happened Wednesday as Penn Charter's girls squad bested Episcopal Academy, 75-50, and Notre Dame, 66-60. All events unfolded in mixed form, but the scoring was done separately.
