Middle School:

• The admissions office will host a “Welcome Day” for accepted students today, February 9^th from                8:30am-12:45pm.  If you would like to volunteer to have a student shadow you that day, please email Ms. Foster at rfoster@penncharter.com or let Ms. Kane or Mrs. Jacoby-Rupp know as soon as possible.
• Winter Indoor Recess:  Calvo/Pago-Taylor. 
• Drama Club will meet today during Flex in room 213. 

Upper School:

• English AP Exams:  Juniors and seniors wishing to take either the English Language or English Literature AP exam should indicate their interest by signing up on the board outside room 228.  The English department will have prep sessions in April for the Literature exam.  Teacher Fred has copies of both exams and other materials.  You must commit one way or other at Spring break.
• Focus meeting today at lunch in the Overseer’s Room.  Everyone is welcome! 
• Congrats to Billy W. on winning this week's French candy. French DJ David Guetta collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas on I Gotta Feeling.
• Today, February 9th, the block 5 study hall (8:10-9:30am), proctored by Pam Shannon will move to the dining hall, joining the study hall proctored by Nora Comiskey.  All students in the block 5 study hall are asked to report directly to the large side of the dining hall at 8:10am.
• Joe Dworetzky, one of the five members of The School Reform Commission, will speak to the Urban Issues class today, 2/9 at 8:10-9:30am in room 135 about the historic desegregation case in Philadelphia and issues within the public schools.  
• Seniors:  The following seniors are THREE weeks beyond the final deadline for submitting their project proposals to the upper school office: Bloom, Brady-Gold, R. Brown, J. Chollak, Chong, Cusumano, Dean, Delaney, M. Drossner, Dugas, Dworetzky, Fullen, Garvey, M. Hankowsky, Laudadio, Lawrence, Lewis, C. Lieberman, F. Lieberman, Lipschultz, Lordi, Lubisky, McGovern, Meekins, Nazarian, Noonan, Perelman, Prentice, Richards, Rieser, Roberts, N. Robinson, Slawek, Snyder, Strauss, Torrey, Wolf, and Yuhasz.
• Showcase takes place on February 12^th at 6:15pm.  This is the very first Showcase in the Performing Arts Center, staged in Fitz’s room.  Sign-up sheets will be on Fitz’s old and new doors.  Free pizza in the lobby!  There will also be tip jars for the people of Haiti, so bring some money to donate! 
• PC will be hosting the annual ARC blood drive on Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 8:00am-2:00pm in the LS activity room.  Please consider donating a pint of lifesaving blood.  Contact Debra Foley x142 or stop by the US lunch sign-up table for an appointment.
• Napp/Varhol have lunch duty today.

• A multi colored scarf, a gold necklace w/a charm of the sun, a jacket belonging to Sean R., a black Sixers sports bag, a bag belonging to Nick H., a blue Fossil watch, a Breitling wallet, a pink purse w/a calculator in it.  Please claim all items at the front desk.

Community Service:

• Cardinal Bevilacqua CC from 2:45-5:15pm.

Lost: 

• A set of keys on a red lanyard, please return to Quinton L. Gold necklace adorned with two Hebrew letters.  If found, please return to Middle School.
