Basketball Girls Middle School JV

Practices

• 1st Practice - November 27, 2012
• Practice Days/Times:  Monday through Thursday, 3:00-4:15
• JV Players should attend Varsity tryouts/practices
• There are no practices during school vacations
• Practice Location:  Old Gym

Equipment

Player should provide the following equipment:

• T-shirt
• Shorts
• Basketball sneakers
• Approximate cost and additional team needs (special uniform, practice
  gear, team apparel)
  • Shorts, if needed, $15. Same shorts as for PE and other sports teams.

Playing Time

• The goals of Middle School junior varsity level are similar to Middle School varsity, with the primary focus on skill development. Game play is important but practices are crucial. Coaches should recognize the importance of participation for each player in games and practices as it impacts individual growth and development. Athletes who meet the requirements and expectations of the coach will play in all games. When the sport allows, the minimum time will be half of the total game time.
