From One Caretaker to Another

Karen Warren Coleman began her tenure as Penn Charter's eighth head of school in the modern era on July 1, 2023.

As the school's first female head of school in its 334-year history, Karen succeeds Darryl J. Ford, the first person of color to head the school, to assume the role of PC's next caretaker. There is much to look forward to, and much to celebrate from a strong past that has led Penn Charter to this important moment.
