Workshops and Biennial Exhibit a Success
The Biennial Student Exhibit opening night celebration attracted almost 100 parents and children to view art and collaborate to create their own art.
Sheila Ruen, chair of the Visual Arts and Design department, described the evening as a "joyful" occasion.
"We had a wonderful evening of studio workshops led by students, artist-parents and teachers," Ruen said. "We are so grateful to all of the families who contributed to the success of the event, and we look forward to building more community opportunities in the visual arts and design at Penn Charter. "
The department is offering three workshops this spring — see the list below — and parents are encouraged to contact Sheila Ruen with details about time and sign ups.
Enjoy the photos, and thank you to the students and parents who attended!
And don't miss the exhibit, which is open through March 10. This biennial exhibition of student art features visual art and design work from Penn Charter students in grades pre-K through 12. Work in various media, including painting, ceramics, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphic design, animation and video will be on display in the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools.
