The guiding question throughout my portfolio was how making predictions of the future provides insight into our present. I initially explored themes of sentience and what constitutes humanity through AI. Image 1 depicts a figure constructing an artificial human, in the piece I used a monochrome blue palette to contrast sharply with a human heart. In Images 1, 3, 5, and 6 I used color to emphasize the juxtaposition between technology and mortality, with the more artificial elements of each piece being cooler tones and the more human being warmer toned.
