Student Support

Students have access to the first line of support at Penn Charter.

We offer resources to address students' social-emotional, academic or health needs.

Support Services

Learning Specialists in Each Division

Penn Charter has a learning specialist in each division whose primary responsibility is to support students' learning and developmental needs. They can help create learning plans based on up-to-date psychoeducational or neuropsychological evaluations, collaborate closely with teachers, parents and caregivers, and help implement strategies to support diverse learners. Additionally, they may develop schoolwide support programs, monitor student progress and provide professional development for faculty.

Math Center

The Math Center is staffed throughout the day by math faculty. Help is available to Upper School students in addition to the extra help already provided by their teachers. The center provides a collaborative and supportive environment.

Writing Center

Staffed by faculty and peer tutors, the Writing Center offers personalized guidance for Upper School students at every stage of the writing process—from brainstorming and drafting to revising and refining.

The teachers’ support for students goes beyond just the classroom walls. At Penn Charter, we have a writing and math center and a science peer tutor system that students can go to for extra help during their free blocks. Whenever I have felt stuck writing a paper or have had a hard time understanding a concept in math, I have used the centers. The teachers at the centers are extremely helpful and only want to see you achieve your goals and grow.Eva K., Class of 2026
