The Student Visit
In an ideal world, we would welcome students and parents to campus for tours and conversation. In the current reality, we welcome you to "meet" us and explore Penn Charter virtually.
We have designed a series of live webinars — eight topics, 38 date/time options. During each session PC colleagues will present information and also answer your questions.
Please review the options and, with one registration, select the session or sessions you wish to attend. You will receive a confirmation email with login information. The 30- and 45-minute sessions will be hosted on Zoom.
Questions? Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-844-3460 ext. 103. We hope to see you soon!
Until Penn Charter can reopen to visitors, the school will hold virtual information sessions and student panels throughout the year. To receive updates on the schedule of these events, or to begin a conversation with us about applying to the school, please complete this inquiry form. The information below is relevant when on-campus visits can resume.
After you have submitted your child’s application, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule a "shadow day" visit at Penn Charter.
Information for Students
Your day begins at 8 a.m. in the Admissions Office in the Main Building. You will be greeted by a member of our admissions staff and introduced to a student host who will escort you through the rest of the day’s schedule.
• Attend classes with your student host.
• Eat lunch with the Middle School (11:45 am to 12:25 pm) or the Upper School (12:35 to 1:10 pm).
The Admissions Office will provide you with a lunch ticket that will cover the cost of your meal (please feel free to bring your own lunch if you prefer). Our dining hall has a salad bar, sandwiches, pizza, pasta and hot daily specials.
• Interview with a member of the Penn Charter admissions team. You will be asked to talk about yourself. This is your opportunity to ask questions, too!
• Complete a short writing sample.
A note about dress…
The guidelines are simple:
If your shirt has symbols, lettering or advertisements, those designs should be no larger than a closed hand. Please do not wear hats, sweatpants, athletic shorts or backless shoes. Skirts or shorts should be no more than four inches above the knee.
Health and Safety
If your child has a medical issue, such as a food allergy, that Penn Charter should be aware of for your child's well-being during the visit, please fill out our Visitor Health Form at least a week before the visit. The school nurse will be in touch with you before the visit to discuss any concerns.
We hope you enjoy the day!
