Following Tuesday's Senior Day celebration, girls lacrosse pulled off a big 6-5 win against Inter-Ac leaders Episcopal, putting an end to the Churchmen's 18-game undefeated streak. Five different Quakers scored in a spirited team effort: Kaylee Dyer (2), Leah Sax, Mia Ferraro, Lizzie McLaughlin and Lane Murray. Junior Hayley Hunt denied 13 shots on net, including an aggressive close-range attempt in the fourth quarter. Hunt also scooped up three ground balls and caused one turnover. Up 4-2 at the half, the Quakers fought hard to maintain their lead as Episcopal tied things up in the fourth quarter. Dyer sealed the deal for PC when she fired off her second goal of the day with 3:57 left on the clock. The Quakers earned a bye in the first round of the PAISAA Tournament. They will face off against the Hill School in the second round on May 18 at 10:00 am, at home on Maguire Field.

Boys lacrosse beat Springside Chestnut Hill 9-4 in the first round of Inter-Ac playoffs on Tuesday. Early goals from Dean Bleiler (2), Jayce Dyer (2) and Conor McKee (2) got the Quakers off to a strong start; by the half, Penn Charter had six unanswered goals and was leading 6-2. Tone DeMarco (2G,1A) provided a late-game boost for the offense, and Gavin Tygh scored one in the second quarter. Tygh went 16 for 16 in face-off wins, and Carson Marano held down the defense with 11 saves. Next, the boys play Haverford in the Inter-Ac semifinals at Cabrini College on May 17 at 7 pm. Tickets are available at the door.
