I hope you are having a relaxing and enjoyable summer. Course lists are now available on the PC Hub. Log into the Hub, click on your child's name, then under Performance click on Report Cards, then 2018-19 Course List. Please reference this course list when ordering your books. Please note that you will find your child's advisor for the 2018-2019 school year at the top of the page. You will need this information to sign up for your Get-Acquainted Parent and Advisor conference with your child's advisor. 

Book Ordering
As in years past, the school is contracting with MBS Direct for our book ordering. Please read the detailed instructions on this book ordering process. The site will be available beginning Tuesday, August 7. Order from August 7-20, 2018 and get free shipping on purchases $99 and over. **If books are not listed for a specific course, then the books will be provided by the school once classes begin.

Please keep in mind that August is a month when many of us take our vacations; we will respond to all questions upon our return.

Get-Acquainted Parent and Advisor Conferences, August 29 and September 4

Get-Acquainted Parent and Advisor Conferences are right around the corner, so please sign up for a time. These conferences are designed to give parents and guardians opportunities to tell us about your child; his or her affinities, passions, strengths, challenges, activities over the summer, areas for growth and more. You will meet with your child's advisor for 25 minutes in our Middle School building on either August 29 between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. or September 4 between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. Please sign up promptly (link is below) as the spaces will fill up quickly.

Our teachers will lead the conference, but will be mostly listening. Our hopes are that through this conference we will...

• Gain valuable information about our students from the parent perspective that will enable us to start the year effectively.
• Establish a relationship with parents early in the school year that will facilitate good communication, build teamwork and engender trust.
• Learn about each child's affinities, passions, strengths, challenges, areas for growth so that we might better reach and teach each child under our care.
• Learn from parents how they might want to get involved in volunteering at the school.

Questions and conversation points for you to think about before the conference...

• Tell us about your child.
• What motivates your child and sparks learning and curiosity?
• Describe your hopes/goals for this school year.
• How would you like the advisor and his/her other teachers to communicate with you?
• What makes your child happy? Frustrated? Engaged?
• Does your child have any special circumstances that require our attention?
• What did your child love about school last year (for returning students) or love about his/her previous school (for new parents)?
• Describe areas that you see as challenges for your child.
• Is there anything that you'd be interested in volunteering for during this school year?
