Summer Reading 2023

Penn Charter encourages all students to read during the summer. Summer reading allows students to read for fun, which helps increase the desire to read, ensures that the skills don't stagnate or decline, and lays the foundation for lifelong reading habits. Children of all ages also benefit from listening to a read-aloud!  To help families find books that might appeal to their children, Penn Charter's Lower School librarians have compiled suggested summer reading lists for rising grades. These books are not required reading, but we hope that they will help inspire students to read through the summer and beyond.
