Blue Devils Close Out Wave I of Olympic Trials

OMAHA, Neb. – Duke wrapped Wave I of the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials on Monday, June 7 at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Neb.
 
Sarah Foley competed in the 200-meter breaststroke. The Philadelphia, Pa., native placed 14th in the morning preliminaries before dropping nearly two seconds off her time to swim a 2:33.00 and place second in the 'B' Final in the evening session.
 
Matthew Whelan also raced on Monday, clocking a 23.76 in the 50m freestyle.
 
Current diver Ali Watson (platform) and alumni Nathaniel Hernandez (3-meter) will compete in diving events at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials on Wednesday, June 9.
