OPCs in the News Highly anticipated TV sitcom Schooled, created by Adam F. Goldberg OPC '94, premiered on Jan. 9 to a whopping 4.82 million viewers. The episode featured Atlanta Falcons football star Matt Ryan OPC '03 in a post-episode interview with Rick Mellor OPC '69, a favorite on The Goldbergs who is now a regular on Schooled.
Hannah Fox OPC '16 broke the Amherst single-game scoring record with 43 points on Dec. 28.
Last year's Downtown Reception speaker Ken Young OPC '68 has been recognized along with John Traub and the Albuquerque Isotopes organization for the minor-league team's amazing success.
David Oxtoby OPC '68 has been appointed the next president of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
ESPN named the San Francisco 49ers' Mike McGlinchey OPC '13 the NFC West Rookie of the Year and has placed him on their 2018 All-Rookie Team.

Today at PC During winter break, the Penn Charter girls basketball team won their bracket at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Ariz. In the semifinals, PC edged out Highland High School (AZ). The Quakers went on to beat Pinnacle High School (AZ) in an exciting final round. Catch up on the latest, in SportsZone. Sean Foley OPC '16 presented to faculty in the Teaching & Learning Center about religious practices in modern China and his experiences studying at Peking University.
