As mentioned in Darryl Ford's email to parents, enrollment deposits will be billed to families' SMART Tuition accounts on Feb. 7 and are due to be paid by Feb. 22. The email contains a link to tuition rates for 2020-21. If you are not able to meet this date, or if your child will not return in the coming school year, please speak to Naté Hall for Lower School or Karen Hallowell for Middle and Upper School. LUNAFEST Sunday, March 8, 2:30 pm, Balderston Commons, $30 PC will host LUNAFEST, a traveling film festival celebrating films by and about women. More than 200 screenings are held annually in support of gender equality in the film industry. Girls on the Run Philadelphia co-hosts this event, which combines community and GOTR spirit with the 97-minute film screening, comprised of seven films. - The cost for this dance is $10 per student.
- This is a 10th grade dance. Only sophomores and students invited by a member of the sophomore class will be admitted to the dance. Guests may be PC US students or high-school age students from other schools. Non-PC guests must be registered with the assistant director of Upper School by 3 pm the day before the dance; each student can sponsor one guest, and the guest and the sponsor must arrive at the dance together. The sign-up list to bring a guest will be posted outside Lee Payton's office.
- The time before, during and after a school dance is considered part of an "official school-sponsored event." (See the "drug and alcohol policy" and the "off-campus behavior policy" in the US Handbook for more information.)
- The dance starts at 7:30 pm. Students must be in the door by 8:30 pm. And the dance concludes at 10 pm sharp. Once students enter the dance, they may not leave early. All students must leave the parking lot (or be picked up) no later than 10:15 pm.
MS Family Meeting for Worship
Thursday, Feb. 6, 8:15-8:45 am, Meeting Room Middle School families are warmly invited to join their children in Meeting for Worship. Experience silent worship and reflection as your children do each week. If you plan on attending, please join us in the MS lobby 8:00-8:15 am for coffee and fellowship with other parents. Then we will walk over to the Meeting Room with our students at 8:15. Ski Trip Saturday, Feb. 29, Bear Creek First-time skiers/snowboarders, experienced skiers/snowboarders, and students or parents interested in alternatives to the slopes are welcome. If your child would like to participate and does not have transportation, please contact Allen Vandegrift. We suggest that you buy tickets in advance, or with a group of friends, which will make ticket prices cheaper. Lessons and rental equipment are available for all participants.
