Dear Upper School Families,
With more social distancing and mitigation efforts in place across Pennsylvania, and other cities and states in the U.S., and with the increased likelihood that school – and life – may well not reconvene as normal at the conclusion of our spring break, we have decided to add a 30-minute advisory to Monday, March 30, at 10:00 a.m.
We hope this additional advisory on March 30 will ease the transition to what increasingly looks like will indeed be virtual PC on Tuesday, March 31.
The advisory format on March 30 will be the same as it was Monday: Each advisor and their advisees will convene via Google Meet for 30 minutes to reconnect, check in and review the same distance learning plans they covered yesterday:
While we are technically on spring vacation, students are already reporting being stir crazy and tired of Netflix. How fortunate we are that the weather is pleasant! Meanwhile, we hope reconvening on Monday, March 30 will help students reconnect with each other, work out any kinks with technology and ready themselves for distance learning on Tuesday, March 31.
If you or your student has any questions or concerns about advisory on March 30, please email me at ehughes@penncharter.com.
Meanwhile, here is a happy glimpse into old-fashioned semester 1 "bricks-and-mortar" Upper School with your kiddos.
Cordially,
Erin P. Hughes
Director of Upper School
