Dear Middle School Families,
Our test run with distance learning through Google Meet went very well this past Monday, and thank you for helping support your children through these changes to our typical learning mode. Our advisors reported positive and joyful moments of reconnection and enjoyed the serious questions generated by our students as well as the cheeky and playful moments using this new technology.
With distance learning seeming more and more likely when we return from spring break, I write to share that we have modified the original start date we shared with you last week. Since our students will be returning from an extended spring break, we feel it will work best to schedule an advisory session on Monday, March 30, at 10:00 a.m. The session, which we expect to last 30-45 minutes, will allow our advisors to connect and build community with students, as well as review the distance learning schedule and expectations and cover any changes that occured over the two-week break. Then, we will begin as planned on Tuesday, March 31, with online classes and learning.
If you or your child anticipate any challenges with beginning on Monday, March 30, please let me know by emailing me at wfelter@penncharter.com.
Cordially,
Wilson Felter
Director of Middle School
