JD Dillard OPC '06 spoke at a Middle School assembly, visited Upper School classes, chatted with students during lunch, and hosted a watch party of his new movie Devotion for alumni, faculty and friends in the evening.
JD Dillard is a director, screenwriter and producer well known for his movies Sleight, Sweetheart, which he wrote and directed, and Devotion, which he directed and produced.
In a 2016 profile in Penn Charter Magazine, Dillard said that he recalled fondly drama classes and an independent study on screenwriting with Michael Roche. Dillard also credited film and photography classes with Randy Granger Hon. 1689 for technical learning, but also the organization of information and process.
Dillard's father is Bruce Dillard OPC '77 (pictured above, with Randy Granger and JD).
