In my 17 years of teaching, Penn Charter is the 3rd school that I have taught at over my career. Each day I want my students engaged and eager to learn. I want them to be curious and ask questions. Penn Charter has allowed me to grow as a teacher and try new things. Being the Girl's Basketball coach for the past 7 years has allowed me to bring both of my loves of teaching and coaching to one place. I have also been fortunate to be a parent at Penn Charter for 3 years and love the community that is here.
Working at Basketball Camps in High School instilled that love of teaching and coaching in me. It made me want to pursue this as a career in college. Seeing kids grow in just one week at camp was amazing.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my wife and 4 daughters. We love going to the beach, taking hikes outside, and just sitting in our backyard. Sports are a big part of our family as we spend our weekends traveling to participate or watch sports. A quote that is important to me is "Sweep the Sheds," which means leave things better than you found them. I think that is important in all aspects of life.
