I get people’s attention when I share that I’m a Quaker technologist. There’s something so educationally powerful for students when we join timeless Quaker approaches with hi-tech practices. The two work against each other in some ways and work beautifully together in other. That’s my joy...helping teachers avoid the pitfalls and grab on to the gold!
My background is in creating museum exhibits and I still use that approach when creating classes. I aspire to keep things interesting and inspiring where students get to choose their path through the material.
That’s the work I do on land. Spring brings me on to the storied Schuylkill River race course to coach rowing, where we use our Quaker balance to stay dry and go fast!
