Happy Birthday!

On the morning of Friday, Oct. 24 — what would have been the 370th birthday of William Penn and what was the 325th birthday of William Penn Charter School — students, faculty, administrators, Overseers, OPCs, family and friends gathered under a tent on PC's front campus for a Convocation to kick off our highly anticipated 325th Celebration.

Guest speakers included Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania James Cawley and Former Governor of Pennsylvania and Mayor of Philadelphia (not to mention OPC parent!) Ed Rendell. The ceremony was not without surprises, including the visit of former president "Thomas Jefferson."

Penn Charter's evening program to celebrate our 325th birthday kicked off with food trucks and capped off with fireworks! In between, OPCs and current students reflected on their experiences at PC, and the world-wide premier of "William Penn: Founding Father" was screened to an audience of over 1,200.
