Nov. 20, 2018: Margaret Brissett-Bolt

Margaret Brissett-Bolt is an educational consultant and former head of school at Holy Trinity High School in Kingston, Jamaica. With over 40 years’ experience teaching and serving in administrative roles, Brissett-Bolt has also trained aspiring principals throughout the Caribbean and in Canada, and helped develop national education policy. She is known as the “Champion of Consciousness-Based Education” for her work incorporating meditation and mindfulness practices into schools. She helped pioneer the Change From Within program, which prepares Jamaican students to confront social problems like violence in their communities. In 2009, Brissett-Bolt was awarded a Fulbright Research Fellowship to study at the Boston College Lynch School of Education.
