Oct. 23: Fernando Chang-Muy and Adam Garnick OPC '11

 
Fernando Chang-Muy is the Thomas O'Boyle Lecturer in Law at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where he teaches Refugee Law and Policy, and parent of Isa Riser OPC '10. Chang-Muy has served as Legal Officer with both the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the UN World Health Organization (WHO) AIDS Program.
 
In July 2019, Chang-Muy and his second-year law student Adam Garnick OPC '11 co-authored an opinion piece in the New York Times titled "Why Trump's Cruelty Doesn't Deter Migrants" based on data they collected while traveling through Honduras giving presentations on US asylum law. The pair will speak to Upper School assembly about their work.
