Penn Charter kicked off Halloween morning with its beloved tradition: students dressed in spirited costumes parading across campus.
The day began bright and early as seniors gathered in the Lyons Room in the Graham Athletics & Wellness Center for the annual Senior Halloween Breakfast. The Class of 2026 enjoyed food, laughter, and plenty of costume-related excitement as they prepared for their Halloween parade with the lower schoolers.
Meanwhile, Lower School parents and caregivers gathered for a warm and welcoming PCFA coffee in the Lower School Activities Room. Families connected, chatted and soaked in the festive energy as students arrived in their creative costumes.
At 8:45 a.m., Head of School Karen Warren Coleman, along with Director of Lower School Thu-Nga Morris and the mysterious, anonymous witch, led Lower School students (K–5) and the senior class in a parade around campus. From classic characters like Peter Pan and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, to clever group themes like bowling pins and Super Mario Brothers, to current pop-culture favorites like KPop Demon Hunters, costumes ranged from imaginative to hilarious. Parents and caregivers lined the parade route, cheering on the youngest learners and celebrating with our seniors—many of whom fondly remembered their own Lower School Halloween mornings.
