Penn Charter Summer Camps have begun! The options are numerous, ranging from Day Camp to Sports Camp and week-long specialty camps in the performing and visual arts, sciences, gaming and more.
Day Camp, which runs from June 23-August 1, is packed with classic activities that both children and counselors love: daily swimming, a talent show for all ages, a cookout, an end-of-summer camp fair, the traditional yellow vs. red rope pull, and making friends in a nurturing environment that allows children to grow and thrive.
Sports Camp, which also runs from June 23-August 1, is open to the beginner, intermediate and advanced athletes. The camp will offer instruction, competition, coaching, games and fun in eight sports per week. These sports include basketball, soccer, flag football, baseball/softball, floor hockey, team handball, volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee and swimming. Campers can choose to participate in archery and tennis. Daily camp life includes tournaments, skill contests, swimming and trips.
Varsity Camps hone skills in basketball, squash, soccer, baseball and lacrosse.
One-week specialty camps offer something for everyone: Perform a musical (Seussical Jr.!), fly a drone, build a robot, learn to drum, create a stop-motion animation film, skateboard, improve your Minecraft or D&D game, and more.
In addition, Girls Empowerment Camp returns this year, combining creative arts, physical challenge, community service, team-building activities and self-reflection to provide girls with an opportunity to build confidence and step outside of their comfort zones. Other exciting options include Shutterbug Photography Camp, Debate About It! and four science camps where campers can design robots using the Lego Spike robotics system, do chemistry experiments, and build and program an autonomous mBot2 robot.
PC summer camps have something for everyone – artist, athlete, debater, theater kid, scientist, gamer, photographer – you name it! Welcome to PC, campers. We are glad to have you!
