Tuesday, Sept. 8 marked the first official day of the 2020-21 school year, and though teaching and learning look very different at PC right now, our sense of community remains unchanged. Excitement was in the air as students in grades pre-K to 2 returned to campus for the first time since March. (View photos.) Grades 3-12 began their first day of distance learning, with plans to transition to a hybrid model later this month.

The day before classes were set to begin, Head of School Darryl J. Ford welcomed students and families to the school year with a video message. Ford introduced this year's theme of Equity and Empathy, expressed his happiness at having students back on campus, and spoke to the importance of following health and safety guidelines, at school and beyond.

"It's up to us" to ensure that campus stays open as long as possible, he said. Watch the video.
