Artist Statement
I took this picture during our winter photo challenge. I wanted to get really close and clear to the plant to capture all the intricacies of the leaves and branches. I also thought the snow background was plain and calming to allow the focus to stay on the plant. The bareness of the branches along with the clarity of the leaves gives the image a pure and cold feeling.
