Teaching & Learning Center

The Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) promotes excellence in teaching by providing faculty with accessible and meaningful professional development.Accessible because the TLC is on campus and flexible, offering lunch & learn sessions, after-school workshops, one-to-one sessions, Critical Friends Groups, class visits, online webinars, a partnership with neighboring Jefferson University, and more.

Meaningful because the TLC supports faculty as they discover and share with each other new ways to teach.

William Penn Charter School’s Teaching & Learning Center’s mission is to promote excellence in teaching by providing meaningful and ongoing opportunities to enable faculty to further develop as reflective practitioners and to advance their professional practice. This will be achieved through differentiated instruction and varied modes of learning to support teachers as they strengthen their craft. The ultimate goal of TLC is to empower teachers, administrators, and staff to further their individual professional growth to ensure that students receive an outstanding education.Mission Statement
