MS Football Takes to the Turf
In the first game played by the Middle School football squad on the new turf field, PC rolled past SCH Academy, 39-12.
Kyle Jones, an eighth grader and the son of varsity assistant Casey Jones, turned 11 carries into 171 yards and two TDs. At linebacker, he blocked a PAT, was involved in three stops behind the line of scrimmage and, while dropping back in pass coverage, made a deflection that helped to produce a 90-yard pick-six for seventh grader Marvin Harrison. His dad, also Marvin, was a first magnitude star for Roman Catholic, Syracuse and the Indianapolis Colts.
