PC Athletes Sign D1 Letters

With parents, extended family, coaches, friends and teachers watching, six PC student athletes signed letters of intent to play their sport in Division 1 universities. 

Penn Charter Director of Athletics and Athletic Planning John Thiel congratulated the students and their parents at the Nov. 10 signing celebration in Gummere Library. Nov. 11 through Nov. 18, 2015 is the early signing period for these sports. The National Letter of Intent signing period for football, soccer and water polo begins early February 2016. The basketball and other sports signing period begin in mid-April 2016. Expecting more good news later!

Penn Charter has provided student athletes with resources to match their talents. On 44 acres, Penn Charter offers its players and fans:

  • five grass playing fields, two synthetic turf fields, one all-weather, eight-lane track, seven tennis courts, 10 squash courts, four basketball courts, and one swimming pool.
  • PC has four buildings designated for athletics: Graham Athletics Center — with the new Blaine A. Steinberg OPC '11 Center for Fitness and Performance  Kline & Specter Squash Center, Ray Dooney Field House, and the Old Gym.
