Boys Squash Opens Mid-Atlantic Champs with Win
So much for the notion that performing well after a stretch of inactivity caused by many inches of white stuff is a snow-go proposition.
Boys varsity squash returned to action Tuesday and rolled to a 9-0 victory over visiting St. Andrew's School, of Middletown, Del., in the opening round of the Mid Atlantic Squash Association's Division II championships.
The Quakers won seven matches by 3-0 scores. The most dominant performances were turned in by junior Reid Kleinman (dropped four points at No. 5) and eighth grader Tommy Fournaris (five at No. 3).
Ninth grader Rohan Bhambhani and soph Ben Swanson fought their way to victory in five-game contests at the Nos. 6 and 7 positions, respectively.
Today at 4 o'clock, PC will host Germantown Friends with a trip to the final on the line.
