Inter-Ac Results for Boys Swimming

Boys varsity swimming participated Wednesday at Malvern Prep in the Inter-Ac's individual championships and, not surprisingly, sophomore Reece Whitley was quite the standout.

Whitley, recently honored as Sports Illustrated's SportsKid of the year, sped to victory in two individual events and participated in two relays that earned Top 6 finishes.

Here are PC's best efforts (within the Top 6 finishers):

  • 200 medley relay — third in 1:39.65. Senior Jake Brogan, Whitley, senior Jack Mahoney and senior Tripp Griffith
  • 200 individual medley  Whitley, first in 1:55.55; junior Evan McFadden, third in 2:05.94.
  • 50 freestyle  Mahoney, third in 21.80.
  • 100 butterfly  Mahoney, fifth in 54.25.
  • 100 breaststroke  Whitley, first in 56.36 (won by almost 3 seconds); McFadden, fourth in 1:01.16.
  • 400 freestyle relay  sixth in 3:23.06. Mahoney, Whitley, soph Andrew Morris and Brogan.

Our school cheer is: Go Charter!

We appreciate the student athletes who are now powering PC to great feats, and look forward to welcoming those who will do so in the future. Also, of course, we eternally appreciate the efforts of all OPCs!
