PC rolled to a pair of victories in a showcase event at Germantown Academy on Saturday.

The girls basketball team played first and thumped Mercersburg Academy, 73-24. That win was followed by the boys' 61-40 triumph over Palumbo.

Senior Lexi Hnatkowsky led the girls with 15 points and created a stir in the first three-odd minutes of the third quarter by swishing four consecutive three-point shots. Soph Abby Manion, a sub, was next with 13 points.

Twenty-three of PC's 28 field goals featured assists. In that category, Hnatkowsky, soph Emma Maley and senior Mireyah "Rey" Davis posted four apiece. The mainstays are pictured here enjoying the play of their teammates off the bench. More photos of girls and boys teams.

The boys' leading scorer was junior Mason Williams, whose 20-point outing was highlighted by five threes. In a 25-4 second quarter, Williams (11 points) and fellow juniors Will Samuel (five rebounds, two assists) and Owen Pighini (three assists) led the way.

The wrestling squad competed in the 39th annual Radnor Holiday Tournament and scored 217.5 points to earn a second-place finish behind St. Joseph's Prep (229).

Placing first in their weight classes were soph TJ Henry (126 pounds), junior Alex Koenig (152) and senior Billy Costello (285). Others in top fours were senior Gene Naumovsky (138, second), senior David Woodruff-Giorno (145, second), junior Dante DiStefano (220, third) and freshman John Giuffrida (132, fourth).
