Baseball Ends Florida Trip with 8th Win

It's settled. Penn Charter needs to open a satellite campus in Florida for all students devoted to baseball.
The Quakers played eight games on their spring break visit and claimed victory in every single one. Plus, they racked up a scoring advantage of 86-14.
The last win, by a score of 9-3 over IMG Academy, of Bradenton, was claimed Friday.
With 15 major league scouts watching, senior Joey Lancellotti seized top honors by going 3-for-4 with a double and triple, and striking out seven in a three-inning, one-hit mound stint. Adam Holland (3-for-4, two RBI, two runs) and Steve Lorenz (2-for-4, two RBI) also repped the senior class.
During a two-inning appearance, senior Brendan "Chooch" Cellucci also caused the scouts to raise their radar guns.
Lancellotti is batting .591 so far while another senior, Dom Toso, leads coach David Miller's squad with 12 RBI. Nine pitchers made appearances in Florida. Six did not allow an earned run.

Go Charter!

The spirit of Penn Charter athletics is built on a storied tradition of excellence and the belief that the interplay of academics, arts and athletics leads to strong, creative, resilient and flexible people.

Skilled teachers and coaches help our students understand – whether on the playing field or in the classroom – how to collaborate and compete, how to win with grace, and how to handle challenges and setbacks.

Our school cheer is: Go Charter!

We appreciate the student athletes who are now powering PC to great feats, and look forward to welcoming those who will do so in the future. Also, of course, we eternally appreciate the efforts of all OPCs!
