Boys Squash Blanks Malvern In League Opener

Penn Charter's boys squash squad continues not to skip a beat.

In Wednesday's Inter-Ac opener, the Quakers blanked visiting Malvern Prep, 9-0, and eight matches featured three-game sweeps.

"Overall a very solid and professional performance by the boys; working well on the areas we have been developing in practice over the last week," noted coach Damon Leedale-Brown.

Junior Max Lubowitz, usually the No. 3 performer, was unavailable due to injury, so six players moved up one notch and soph Jack Kennedy turned a promotion from the junior varsity into a triumph in the No. 9 slot.

The most dominant winners were senior Marker Angelaikis (six points allowed), freshman Ryan Yeatman (seven) and eighth graders Hyun-Su Price (pictured above) and Oliver Leedale-Brown (10 apiece).

Other winners: seniors Marco Rodriguez and Ben Swanson; juniors Rohan Bhambhani and Tom Bradbeer.
