OPCs as Philly Pros

According to multiple sources, 2012 Penn Charter grad Daryl Worley, currently a cornerback with the Carolina Panthers, is about to join the Philadelphia Eagles via a trade.

So far, three Quakers have played for Philly's pro teams in the three major sports. Here are some facts:

Ruben Amaro OPC '83: Ruben, an outfielder, played in 421 game for the Phillies over two stints, 1992-93 and 1996-98. The outfielder batted .239 with 38 doubles, nine triples, 13 homers and 86 RBI.
Kirk Hershey OPC '37: Kirk, a receiver, played in six games for the Eagles in 1941 (after beginning that season with Cleveland). He made one catch for 11 yards.
Jack Meyer OPC '50: Jack, a righthanded pitcher, spent his entire seven-year MLB career (1955-61) with the Phillies. He went 24-34 with a 3.92 ERA, yielding 385 hits in 455 innings while racking up 375 strikeouts.

No PC grads have played for Philly's NBA teams.

Worley played two seasons with Carolina, making 25 starts in 31 games. He made three interceptions along with 111 tackles and 39 assists.
