Mike Siani's 100th Hit a Home Run

Baseball played an unusual doubleheader Saturday with two road games at two different locations. Game one ended in an 11-1 loss at Cardinal O’Hara; the team finished the second leg of the doubleheader just down the road from PC at GFS with a dominating 14-5 win.

Against GFS, senior Mike Siani earned his 100th career hit on Saturday with a huge home run to right-center field. The team was tied 5-5 heading into the sixth inning before exploding for nine runs to earn the 14-5 victory.

Senior Trajan Womack hit a triple and added three RBIs for the Quakers, while senior Luke Mattice had two RBIs.

Sophomore Gavin Zavorski and freshman Dean Bergmann both hit RBI singles to add to the scoreboard for PC.

The team is scheduled to play at home on Palaia Field for the first time since opening weekend when they host Springside Chestnut Hill Academy on Tuesday.

Go Charter!

The spirit of Penn Charter athletics is built on a storied tradition of excellence and the belief that the interplay of academics, arts and athletics leads to strong, creative, resilient and flexible people.

Skilled teachers and coaches help our students understand – whether on the playing field or in the classroom – how to collaborate and compete, how to win with grace, and how to handle challenges and setbacks.

Our school cheer is: Go Charter!

We appreciate the student athletes who are now powering PC to great feats, and look forward to welcoming those who will do so in the future. Also, of course, we eternally appreciate the efforts of all OPCs!
