penn charter lacrosse

Boys lacrosse played Malvern Prep in the second round of Inter-Ac Tournament under the lights at Carbrini University on Friday. The Quakers trailed 4-3 at halftime before establishing a 6-5 lead early in the second half. Despite a strong team effort, the Quakers ultimately suffered a tough 9-8 defeat.

Junior Gavin Tygh hit an impressive career milestone by earning his 1000th career faceoff win and added two goals to the scoreboard to lead PC offensively. Senior Ryan Dickson scored two goals and four other players each found the back of the net: senior Luke Brogan, freshman Jayce Dyer, junior Nick DiCicco and senior Blake Target.

An impressive season comes to an end for boys lacrosse. The team went 3-2 during Inter-Ac play with wins over GA, SCH and EA before advancing to the second round of the Inter-Ac tournament to highlight a memorable season.

Girls lacrosse hosted Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in the first round of the Inter-Ac Tournament at home on Maguire Field yesterday. The team earned two victories over SCH during the regular season, but was upset by a strong defensive effort and suffered a 9-4 defeat.

The season wraps up for girls lacrosse with a 6-6 record in Inter-Ac play during the regular season. The young team graduates just three players and should improve upon their 2018 season, next year.
