125th PC/GA Day

125th PC/GA Day

All fall teams ended their seasons this past Saturday. A huge crowd (estimated at over 5000) gathered at PC for the annual PC/GA Day. This year commemorated the 125th consecutive year for this event. The competitions were exciting, competitive and well played. A highlight of the day was the boys polo team winning (17-13) which gave them the League Championship. Our girls polo team played an equally solid game, and also defeated GA 15-12. The football game began on time after the traditional introduction of seniors and their parents. The pre-game festivities also included the introduction of past recipients of the Geis Award. Thirty former PC and GA players represented the storied history of this prestigious trophy. After the opening kick-off, both teams scored touchdowns on their first possessions. But from that point on, it was all PC as our boys played their best game of the season and defeated GA 54-7. Eric Berger (11th grade) was selected for the Geis Trophy for his outstanding play on both offense and defense.

The spirit of Penn Charter athletics is built on a storied tradition of excellence and the belief that the interplay of academics, arts and athletics leads to strong, creative, resilient and flexible people.

Skilled teachers and coaches help our students understand – whether on the playing field or in the classroom – how to collaborate and compete, how to win with grace, and how to handle challenges and setbacks.

Our school cheer is: Go Charter!

We appreciate the student athletes who are now powering PC to great feats, and look forward to welcoming those who will do so in the future. Also, of course, we eternally appreciate the efforts of all OPCs!
