Keynote speaker Penny Colgan-Davis, formerly the head of Frankford Friends School and current clerk of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, wished for students not success or riches, but connectedness. "When we are connected to others, we are successful and happy and often we end up doing great things," she said. "My wish for you is to have a connected life."
Director of Upper School Travis Larrabee closed the ceremony by thanking Jim Ballengee for his 23 years of service as secretary of Penn Charter's Cum Laude Society. "Jim has left his mark on the school in so many ways, and this is just one of them," he said. Ballengee will retire at the end of this school year.
