At Penn Charter, teachers work to bring out the artist in every student.

Our Visual Arts, Design, and Performing Arts programs give students positive, engaging experiences across a wide range of creative disciplines.

Creative Self-Expression

Penn Charter students discover their creative selves through a variety of mediums in the visual and performing arts.

At the Kurtz Center for the Performing Arts, students perform in a 600-seat capacity theater, while seven studios across campus offer a variety of spaces for young artists to work and create.

Something for Everyone
Whether a student wants to sing in a chorus, perform in a play, learn to paint, become a photographer, do ceramics, and much more—the opportunities exist at Penn Charter.

Students explore all aspects of putting on a show or mounting an exhibition, from make-up, costume design and lighting to framing, displaying and creating narratives for artwork.

Through the All-School Arts Show, cross-divisional musicals, plays, and classes, student artists and performers collaborate and learn from each other.

Student-Driven Curriculum
Students receive individualized attention and are encouraged to take creative risks and celebrate their own artistic vision.
