We are pleased to offer virtual group chess lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced players, with a focus on strengthening chess vision, calculation, and players’ understanding of basic strategic and tactical patterns to increase skill in all phases of the game.
Chess tournaments will be held everyday. Campers will also learn amazing chess variants including: Crazy House, Chess960, Three Check, Anti-Chess (Giveaway), Atomic and Horde. These variants will help players with their chess strategy as well as being fun for young players!
Campers will receive individual coaching and feedback, in a no-shame, positive learning environment, where mistakes are absolutely welcome and treated as learning opportunities. All camp participants will receive tailored supplemental materials for personal practice and growth beyond the camp.
Chess players will need a computer or tablet with a webcam. The kids will be using a free, child-safe, ad-free, open-source chess classroom on lichess.com.
